Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Sanitation Specialist to lead compliance and training for operations serving the Durban area. You will develop, implement, and monitor sanitation protocols, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, and create training materials delivered virtually.

This role suits someone with a strong background in sanitation science and a passion for educating others, able to work remotely with autonomy while promoting best practices and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Demonstrated experience in sanitation management, hygiene protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong background in developing and delivering training programs, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and e-learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update comprehensive sanitation policies and procedures in line with industry regulations and best practices.
• Create engaging training modules and materials on sanitation, hygiene, and safety for cleaning staff, delivered virtually.
• Conduct remote training sessions, assess staff understanding, and provide ongoing support and coaching.
• Monitor compliance with sanitation standards through virtual audits and reporting, identifying areas for improvement.
• Research and recommend new sanitation technologies, products, and methods to enhance service effectiveness and safety.
