Placements24 is seeking an Employment Law Specialist to provide expert guidance on SA employment law from a fully remote setup. You will ensure compliance with key acts, draft and review contracts and policies, and advise on disciplinary matters and disputes across the country.

Requirements include admission as an attorney with at least 5 years in employment law, strong drafting and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years in Employment Law.
• Deep understanding of SA labour legislation and case law.
• Proven experience advising on and resolving disputes.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of employment law, including recruitment, hiring, termination, and performance management.
• Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Advise on and manage disciplinary inquiries, grievance procedures, and CCMA/Bargaining Council disputes.
• Conduct legal training for HR and management on compliance.
• Stay current with changes in employment legislation and provide proactive guidance.
