Placements24 seeks a forward-thinking Research Engineer to advance Renewable Energy Technologies within its global R&D team, operating fully remotely. You will research, develop, and optimize innovative solutions for sustainable energy generation, storage, and integration, analyzing performance data and collaborating with scientists to drive breakthroughs.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field.
4+ years in R&D related to renewable energy technologies or energy systems.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, electrical circuits, or material science for energy systems.
Experience with simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, COMSOL) is advantageous.
Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Conduct R&D activities to improve efficiency and reliability of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, energy storage).
Design, simulate, and analyze prototypes or components of new energy technologies.
Interpret experimental data and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners via virtual channels.
Prepare detailed technical reports and research proposals; present findings to stakeholders.
Stay updated on advancements and trends in renewable energy.
