Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join a fully remote banking and finance team. You will design and implement models, price instruments, manage risk, and drive trading strategies from a remote setting.

You will work with a global team, applying advanced statistics and machine learning in Python, C++, or R, and backtest models to ensure robust performance. A PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field is required.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Quantitative Analyst or in a similar quantitative role within the finance industry.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or R, including experience with relevant libraries.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives pricing, and risk management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and productively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement sophisticated quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and trading strategies.
• Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large financial datasets.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code in languages such as Python, C++, or R.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers to translate business needs into quantitative solutions.
• Validate and backtest models, ensuring their accuracy, robustness, and performance.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in quantitative finance, technology, and market trends.
