Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Production Planning Specialist to manage production schedules and allocate resources from Port Elizabeth. You will forecast demand, plan material requirements, and coordinate with sales, procurement and operations to keep production on track.

You will optimise workflows, reduce lead times, and ensure timely delivery of finished goods using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast demand and interpret data.
Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent organizational and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the planning process.
Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations to ensure alignment and timely execution of production plans.
Manage raw material and component requirements with the supply chain team to ensure availability.
Monitor production progress against schedules and address deviations or delays.
Utilise ERP systems to manage and track production activities.
