Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Process Control Engineer to design, implement and maintain APC systems for chemical processes. This fully remote role requires coordinating with on-site teams via digital platforms to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality across global operations.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, with at least five years in process control, DCS/PLC experience, and strong remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in process control engineering within chemical or related industries.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs.
• Proficiency in at least one major simulation software package.
• Strong understanding of control theory, PID tuning, and APC techniques.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement APC strategies and systems.
• Develop and maintain control loops, logic, and interlocks for chemical processes.
• Monitor plant performance remotely and identify optimization opportunities.
• Use simulation tools to test and refine control strategies before deployment.
• Collaborate with distributed teams for seamless integration.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for control systems.
