Placements24 is seeking a Remote Principal Data Scientist to lead groundbreaking ML initiatives from anywhere in the world. You will design, develop, and deploy advanced predictive models and data-driven solutions, shaping strategic directions across industries.

You will mentor junior data scientists, influence the technical roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable business impact in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in data science with impactful ML solutions.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML deployment.
• Strong statistical analysis, data interpretation, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and remote leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex ML models.
• Conduct in-depth statistical analyses to uncover insights.
• Develop predictive models for forecasting, classification, and optimization.
• Manage large datasets from diverse sources with quality control.
• Collaborate with engineering/product teams to deploy models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and guide the team.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with AI research and apply new techniques.
