Placements24 is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Science for a fully remote internship. The role focuses on theoretical modeling, simulation, and data analysis of novel material properties and applications.

You will work in an independent, remote setting with an international team, contributing to high-impact projects and preparing findings for publication and virtual conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field with strong computational focus.
• Experience with computational materials science software (e.g., DFT, molecular dynamics).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran.
• Strong understanding of solid-state physics and/or chemistry principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct theoretical studies and computational simulations on the properties of advanced materials.
• Analyze and interpret simulation data to identify structure-property relationships.
• Develop new computational models or refine existing ones for material characterization.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to validate simulation results.
• Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at virtual conferences.
