Job summary

Exclusively Remote is seeking a PHP Developer (Backend Focus) to join an internationally distributed team working on scalable backend systems. This role emphasizes PHP development, API integration, and database design, with occasional frontend tasks.

You will design, implement, and optimize backend services, collaborate on architecture discussions, and ensure code quality and reliability while delivering robust software solutions in a fully remote, US-hours schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional PHP development experience.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, or similar PHP frameworks.
• Strong SQL and database management experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and Git.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend web applications using PHP.
• Build, maintain, and optimize APIs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and database structures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing applications.
