Job summary

Cognisys is seeking a passionate Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. You will perform penetration testing across networks, web apps, APIs, mobile apps and cloud environments, using automated tools and manual techniques to identify and validate vulnerabilities.

You will communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and deliver high-quality reports with actionable remediation steps.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience conducting penetration testing across networks, web apps, APIs, mobile apps or cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of offensive security methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools alongside manual testing and exploitation techniques.
• Ability to assess attack paths and identify weaknesses.
• Ability to produce high-quality penetration testing reports with remediation recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing across networks, web apps, APIs, mobile apps and cloud environments.
• Simulate real-world attack scenarios to assess client resilience.
• Use automated tools and manual testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Assess security controls and potential weaknesses and attack paths.
• Analyse vulnerabilities and their business and security impact.
• Produce clear reports with remediation guidance for clients.
• Communicate findings to clients and help prioritise remediation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver client engagements.
• Stay updated with emerging threats and offensive security techniques.
