Placements24 is seeking a Part-time Financial Accountant to manage financial operations for a boutique vineyard in Paarl, Western Cape. The role is remote with flexible hours and focuses on maintaining records, processing transactions, and preparing reports while assisting budgeting and forecasting.

Ideal candidates hold a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Accounting with at least 3 years of experience, and are proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Good communication for remote interaction.
• Experience in the agricultural or hospitality sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage payroll processing and related statutory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with basic tax regulations.
• Provide financial support and reporting to management.
• Assist with financial record-keeping for inventory and asset management.
