Placements24 is seeking a creative and strategic Remote Communications Manager for the Charity sector to elevate the organization’s public profile, engage stakeholders, and tell compelling stories from anywhere.

In this role you will develop and execute multichannel communication plans, manage digital presence, nurture media relationships, and monitor impact, delivering reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, ideally within the non-profit or Charity & Voluntary sector.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media management, and content creation.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple communication initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong self-management and communication abilities for effective remote collaboration, ideally located near Soweto, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
• Create compelling content for various channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage and maintain the organization's online presence, including website content and social media platforms.
• Build and nurture relationships with media contacts and influencers to secure positive coverage.
• Monitor communication effectiveness, analyze engagement metrics, and provide regular reports to leadership.
