Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert for a remote contract role. You will solve complex design and R&D problems, translate requirements into models, and prepare solver inputs.

Strong Python skills and advanced degrees preferred, with significant experience in analysis, simulation, or testing. The position offers flexible hours (10-40 hrs/week) and a focus on analytical, computational engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• A BS in Mechanical Engineering plus strong relevant experience in mechanical design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.
• Strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
• Practical proficiency with Python and coding agents.
