About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in South Africa. You will focus on analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and the ability to effectively collaborate with on‑site teams and stakeholders through digital platforms, driving operational excellence remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes or modifications to existing ones to enhance productivity and quality.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing operations.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, to support new product introductions and process changes.
• Monitor process performance using data analytics and propose data-driven solutions for optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and data analysis tools.
