Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Legal Operations Manager to establish and oversee efficient legal processes and systems from a fully remote setting. You will streamline workflows, implement legal tech, manage budgets, and support the legal function across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, a solid understanding of legal practice management, and a proven track record in optimizing resource allocation and service delivery in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Law; JD or paralegal certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in legal operations, law firm administration, or similar, remote environment preferred.
• Proven experience with legal technology implementation and management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent understanding of legal workflows and best practices.
• Experience in budget management and vendor negotiation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for managing remote teams.
• Proficiency in standard office software and legal tech tools.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operational policies and procedures for the legal department.
• Oversee selection, implementation, and optimization of legal tech solutions.
• Manage the legal department budget, including forecasting and expenses.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties for projects.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and identify improvements.
• Manage knowledge management systems and access to information.
• Streamline workflows to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support General Counsel with operational planning and execution.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among remote team members.
