Placements24 is seeking a versatile Legal Advisor for Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will provide expert counsel in commercial and property law, draft and negotiate contracts, and guide property transactions from due diligence to closing.

This role offers flexible remote work, requires Admitted Attorney of the High Court of SA with at least four years PQE, and a proven track record in leasing, zoning, and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong expertise in commercial and property law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and property contracts.
• Knowledge of conveyancing, sectional title legislation, and lease agreements.
• Ability to work remotely and manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and property agreements.
• Provide legal advice on property acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and developments.
• Manage property transactions from due diligence to closing.
• Advise on land use rights and zoning regulations.
• Assist in resolving landlord-tenant and commercial disputes.
• Conduct legal research on commercial and property law issues.
• Liaise with external counsel and government departments as required.
• Support strategic initiatives involving commercial ventures and property portfolios.
