Placements24 is seeking a Remote Lead Metallurgical Process Engineer to join a global team delivering innovative mineral processing solutions across commodities. You will lead projects, mentor engineers, and guide plant design, operation, and troubleshooting from a remote setting.

This role requires deep expertise in comminution, flotation, leaching, and solid-liquid separation, and strong communication for global collaboration. It offers flexible hours and international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in metallurgical process engineering.
• Experience leading engineering projects and managing teams.
• Strong remote-work capability and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of metallurgical processes for various minerals to maximize recovery.
• Provide expert remote technical consultation and troubleshooting to operating plants.
• Mentor a team of metallurgical engineers and ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop simulations, flowsheets, and equipment specs for projects and upgrades.
• Conduct test work analysis and scale-up studies translating lab results to plant solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and presentations for management.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and operations personnel in a remote setting.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to improve plant performance.
