Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Frontend Developer for a fully remote-first role. You will lead frontend architecture, mentor a team of developers, and drive best practices to deliver scalable, high-performance web applications.

Requirements include expert HTML/CSS/JavaScript (ES6+), deep experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular), strong UX focus, and proficiency with state management, testing, and build tooling.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading frontend development teams.
• Expert HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+) proficiency.
• Deep experience with at least one modern JS framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Strong knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, Vuex, NgRx).
• Experience with build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• Solid version control experience (Git).
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing (Jest, Cypress).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend features using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Mentor and guide a team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, code quality, and continuous improvement.
• Architect and maintain scalable, efficient, and maintainable frontend codebases.
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Champion best practices in frontend development, including code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across various browsers and devices.
• Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap planning for frontend development.
• Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and propose adoption where appropriate.
• Ensure the accessibility and performance of all web applications.
