Placements24 seeks an accomplished Lead Data Scientist to spearhead data initiatives in fintech. This fully remote role leads a team of data scientists, mentors juniors, and partners with engineering and product teams to turn insights into business value.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, 8+ years in data science with 2+ in leadership, and expertise in Python/R and ML libraries. Global health, equity, and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years of data science experience, with 2+ in leadership.
• Proficient in Python or R and ML libraries (TF, PyTorch, Sklearn).

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced ML models and analyses.
• Oversee data science projects from concept to production with scalable solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of data scientists.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to embed data insights into products.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify business opportunities.
• Stay current with data science advancements and champion adoption.
