Placements24 is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer for remote leadership of coastal and marine infrastructure projects, including port facilities and offshore structures, based from Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, review designs, and ensure project delivery to high standards.

Requirements include a Master's in Civil or Coastal Engineering, Pr.Eng with ECSA, and 10+ years in coastal/marine projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering.
• PhD is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) with ECSA is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of major coastal and marine infrastructure projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.
• Manage project lifecycles, including feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement, and construction supervision.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure project success.
• Oversee risk assessments and mitigation strategies for coastal engineering challenges.
• Ensure compliance with international and national standards for marine and coastal structures.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Manage project budgets and schedules for efficient resource use.
• Foster innovation in design and construction methodologies.
