Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Web Developer to join a fully remote, South Africa-based team. You will translate designs into responsive web pages, collaborate with designers and back-end developers, and contribute to diverse web projects.

The role emphasizes front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), a strong portfolio, and comfort working remotely in a self-directed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Web Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp).
• Basic understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant projects is highly recommended for a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement user-facing features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability across devices.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and designers to improve usability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends.
• Assist in creating and maintaining website documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and project planning.
