Placements24 is seeking a Remote Junior Cloud Engineer to join our global cloud team. The role focuses on deploying and managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, while gaining hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies.

You will work with a distributed team, implement infrastructure-as-code, and contribute to automation and security initiatives, with opportunities to pursue certifications and growth in cloud engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Familiarity with Docker is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure resources (VMs, containers, networks, storage).
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability and security.
• Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting tasks to automate operations (Python, Bash).
• Troubleshoot incidents related to cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for incident response.

Key Responsibilities
