Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite specialty insurance risks, including but not limited to, Professional Liability, Cyber, or Environmental exposures.
• Analyze complex applications, financial statements, and risk control reports to evaluate acceptability and potential hazards.
• Determine appropriate premiums, terms, conditions, and coverage limits for specialty policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents specializing in specialty insurance.
• Monitor the performance of the assigned book of business, identifying emerging trends and managing portfolio profitability.
• Stay current with developments in specialty insurance markets, regulatory changes, and competitor strategies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Underwriter, with a proven specialization in one or more specialty insurance lines .
• Deep knowledge of the underwriting process for complex and unique risks.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and risk assessment capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, adapted for remote client interactions.
• Proven ability to manage a workload independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment .
• Relevant industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are highly desirable.
