Placements24 seeks a meticulous Insurance Claims Investigator to join our team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will gather evidence, interview witnesses, and document findings to assess claim validity and losses, ensuring fair outcomes and compliance with policies and laws.

The role requires investigating insurance claims, travelling within Paarl region, and preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders and adjusters. A relevant tertiary qualification and 3+ years in investigations are preferred.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Criminology, or related field.
• 3+ years in insurance claims investigation or related investigative work.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and policy wordings.
• Excellent interviewing, observation and evidence gathering skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations to verify facts and assess liability.
• Interview claimants, witnesses and involved parties.
• Collect and analyse police reports, medical records and financial docs.
• Visit incident scenes to document conditions and collect evidence.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with adjusters, legal counsel and stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential case files and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify subrogation or salvage opportunities.
