Job summary

Placements24 in SA is seeking a highly skilled Management Consultant to spearhead its Innovation Strategy practice in a fully remote setting. You will guide clients in developing and implementing cutting-edge innovation frameworks and drive opportunities across markets.

The role requires strong leadership in virtual collaboration, design thinking, agile methods, and stakeholder management, with experience delivering complex programs for diverse organizations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Innovation Management, Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 7-9 years of experience in innovation strategy, product development, corporate venturing, or management consulting with a strong innovation focus.
• Proven track record of developing and executing innovation strategies for clients.
• Deep understanding of innovation frameworks, design thinking, agile methodologies, and emerging technologies.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in virtual settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and leading remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive innovation strategies for clients, encompassing new product/service development, business model innovation, and digital transformation.
• Facilitate virtual ideation sessions, design thinking workshops, and innovation sprints with client teams.
• Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitive landscaping to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
• Assess client innovation capabilities and build roadmaps for improvement, including process and cultural enhancements.
• Guide clients in adopting agile methodologies and fostering an experimental mindset.
• Develop business cases for new innovation initiatives, outlining potential ROI and strategic alignment.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively within a remote team structure.
• Advise senior leadership on strategic investments in R&D, technology, and innovation.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external partners to bring new ideas to market.
