About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Information Security Architect to join their fully remote team. This senior role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the organization's overall security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices. You will lead the strategic direction of security initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to embed security into all aspects of technology. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of complex security systems and a passion for driving innovation in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive, scalable, and resilient security architecture for the enterprise.
• Develop and enforce security standards, patterns, and guidelines across all technology domains.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in an architectural role.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, cryptography, identity and access management, and data security.
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and threat modeling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or TOGAF are highly advantageous.
