Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Industrial Engineer to optimize our clients' production processes near Paarl in the Western Cape. You will analyze bottlenecks, design efficient layouts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives from a remote setting while collaborating with on-site teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, at least 4 years of experience, and strong skills in data analysis, statistics, and lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Remote Industrial Engineer to contribute to their manufacturing optimization efforts, potentially supporting operations near Paarl . This role focuses on analyzing and improving production processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. You will utilize your engineering expertise to design, develop, and implement solutions that optimize resource utilization, streamline operations, and ensure the highest quality output. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with on-site teams and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in a flexible, modern work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using lean manufacturing principles.


• Design and implement new or improved production systems, layouts, and workflows to optimize efficiency and throughput.


• Develop and maintain performance metrics, conducting data analysis to track progress and identify trends.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and supply chain, to implement changes.
