Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Senior Sustainable Design Architect for a globally recognized architectural firm. You will lead sustainable design integration from concept through completion, shaping projects that minimize environmental impact while maximizing resource efficiency.

This remote role supports projects nationwide and internationally from Mossel Bay, Western Cape, and requires 8+ years in sustainable design, LEED/Green Star knowledge, and strong collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Sustainable Design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience focused on sustainable architectural design.
• Proficiency in LEED AP or Green Star SA.
• Experience with energy modeling software (IES VE, EnergyPlus).
• Strong knowledge of passive design, renewables, and materials.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of sustainable design strategies from concept to completion.
• Conduct sustainability assessments, energy modeling, lifecycle analyses.
• Advise on materials, passive design, water conservation, and renewables.
• Develop and manage LEED/Green Star certifications for projects.
• Research and promote innovative sustainable building solutions.
• Collaborate remotely with clients and teams to meet goals.
• Prepare sustainability reports and documentation.
• Mentor junior architects and designers in sustainability.
• Stay updated on evolving green building standards.
