Placements24 is seeking a visionary Head of Social Media Strategy to lead our global online presence in a fully remote capacity. You will define the social media vision, build a robust framework, and drive engagement and growth across platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in social media marketing with a strong track record in strategy development, community building, and cross-functional collaboration in a tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in social media marketing with strategy focus.
• Proven success in building online communities and campaigns for brands, ideally tech.
• In-depth knowledge of major platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in social media analytics tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with brand voice.
• Experience managing budgets and remote cross-functional teams.
• Able to work independently in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, long-term social media strategy aligned with overarching brand and business goals.
• Oversee all social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, community management, and performance monitoring.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media, track metrics, and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations.
• Manage the social media budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
• Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies, adapting strategies accordingly.
• Foster and grow online communities, engaging with followers and responding to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and product teams to ensure a cohesive brand message across all platforms.
• Identify and build relationships with key influencers and brand advocates.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans for social media.
• Lead and mentor a remote social media team or external agencies, ensuring high-quality execution.
