Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Geophysical Data Analyst for a remote contract role. You will process, interpret, and visualize diverse geophysical data (magnetic, gravity, EM, seismic) to identify mineral exploration targets worldwide, collaborating with international teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in geophysics data analysis, strong software skills (Geosoft Oasis Montaj, Maxwell, Hampson-Russell, Target), and experience scripting in Python or R.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Exploration Geophysics, or related Earth Science discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in processing and interpreting geophysical data for mineral exploration.
• Proficiency in industry-standard geophysical software packages.

Responsibilities

• Process, quality control, and invert geophysical datasets including magnetic, gravity, electromagnetic, and seismic data.
• Perform data enhancement techniques such as filtering, gridding, and spectral analysis.
• Integrate geophysical data with geological and geochemical datasets to develop subsurface models.
• Generate clear geophysical maps, cross-sections, and 3D visualizations.
• Interpret geophysical anomalies and assist in target generation.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to teams.
