Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a versatile Full Stack Engineer for a challenging contract role. You will develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components, ensuring robust functionality and a seamless user experience across the stack.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS and 3+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Python or Ruby, RESTful APIs, and PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB. Remote options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks.
• Strong experience with server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Ruby) and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with version control (Git) and cloud deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Build and maintain backend code, integrating with databases and APIs.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, throughout the development process.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues across the stack.
