Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and discreet Remote Forensic Accountant to conduct investigations into financial irregularities and potential fraud. You will work independently from a remote office, collaborating virtually with legal teams, investigators, and clients, providing expert analysis and testimony.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of forensic accounting experience, CPA/CA(SA) preferred, and certification as a CFE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Master's degree or CPA/CA(SA) preferred.
• Certification as a CFE or equivalent forensic accounting credential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed forensic accounting investigations into fraud, embezzlement, and financial misconduct.
• Analyze financial data, identify anomalies, and trace transactions to uncover illicit activities.
• Prepare comprehensive forensic accounting reports detailing findings, methodologies, and evidence.
• Assist legal counsel in case preparation, including expert witness testimony.
• Quantify financial losses and damages from fraudulent activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
