Placements24 is seeking a Specialized Disinfection Technician to join our client’s team in Polokwane and surrounding areas. The role focuses on applying advanced disinfection techniques to maintain sterile environments in healthcare, commercial, and public transport settings.

This part-time, hybrid role requires meticulous safety practices, ability to learn fogging and UV-C equipment, strong attention to detail, and good communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in professional cleaning, sanitation, or a related technical field.
• Willingness to learn specialized disinfection techniques and equipment (fogging, UV-C).
• Knowledge of disinfectants and their applications.
• Strong health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good client communication and reliability.
• Willingness to undergo training on disinfection protocols and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized disinfection services using advanced equipment and approved chemical agents.
• Conduct pre-service site assessments to determine methods and materials.
• Safely operate and maintain disinfection equipment, calibrate as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols during disinfection procedures.
• Prepare detailed service reports including areas treated and chemicals used.
