Placements24 is seeking an experienced Fintech Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, secure financial technology solutions in a fully remote team. You will shape technical strategy, lead architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge fintech products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software architecture with fintech focus, deep API design, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong data security knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture and design, with at least 4 years focused on Fintech or financial services technology.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of financial systems, payment processing, trading platforms, or banking applications.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and architectural design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of data security principles, encryption, and compliance standards relevant to finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and drive architectural decisions in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native financial applications and platforms.
• Define technology standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for Fintech solutions.
• Lead evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Develop API strategies and design robust, well-documented APIs for internal and external integration.
• Collaborate with software teams to guide implementation and ensure architectural integrity.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring security and regulatory compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies for Fintech applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Contribute to the company’s technology roadmap and strategy.
