Job summary

Tintwa Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting, payroll, and general ledger functions while aligning with US GAAP and IFRS. You will report to the client's USA CFO and engage with cross-border teams in a remote, executive-facing capacity.

The role requires 5–8 years of accounting/finance experience, including 2 in a leadership position, and a CA(SA)/CIMA/CPA or equivalent. English fluency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers.
• Support compliance with U.S. regulatory and reporting standards (SEC, FINRA).
• Provide financial analysis and business insights to senior management.
• Manage and review vendor contracts and financial implications.
• Recommend and implement system and process improvements for scalability.
