Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Film Editor to join the post-production team. The role is fully remote, enabling collaboration with directors and producers worldwide to craft engaging narratives for feature films, documentaries, and high-end series.

You will refine footage, manage timelines, and ensure quality through color grading and sound design within a distributed workflow. A strong storytelling eye and reliable internet setup are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional film editing experience in feature, documentary, or high-end series.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams.
• Strong post-production workflow knowledge: color grading, sound design, mixing.
• Excellent storytelling, pacing, and emotional delivery.
• Able to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into feature films, documentaries, and other video content per briefs.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to realize the creative vision.
• Select takes and assemble cuts to craft narrative flow and pacing.
• Create rough cuts, fine cuts, and final picture lock for reviews.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders efficiently.
• Perform color correction and basic sound mixing when needed.
• Organize media assets and manage project timelines.
