About the Role

Our client is a large national organization seeking a Remote Facilities Compliance Analyst to join their expanding operations team. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring adherence to a wide range of health, safety, and environmental regulations across the company's diverse portfolio of facilities, all managed remotely. The successful candidate will be instrumental in reviewing compliance documentation, identifying potential risks, and recommending corrective actions to maintain operational integrity and regulatory adherence. This is a fully remote position, requiring a high degree of self-discipline, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments and locations. The role demands a proactive approach to compliance management and a thorough understanding of current South African EHS legislation. This position offers the flexibility of working from home, with all necessary tools and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote reviews of facility compliance documentation, including safety audits, risk assessments, and environmental impact reports.
• Analyze data to identify trends, deviations from standards, and areas of non-compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., OHS Act, NEMA).
• Develop detailed reports outlining findings, potential risks, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with facility managers and operational teams remotely to discuss compliance issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and updating of company-wide compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update internal compliance frameworks accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and organized digital records of all compliance activities and documentation.
• Support the preparation for external regulatory inspections and audits.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.

• Extensive knowledge of South African health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex data and producing clear, concise reports.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with compliance management software.
