Job summary

IQVIA in South Africa seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist to define, set up and ingest External Data Streams for clinical trials. You will work remotely with global teams to ensure data transfer, ingestion and structure meet study requirements.

You will liaise with data stakeholders, translate concepts into data mapping guidance, and perform UAT to ensure accuracy against Data Transfer Agreements. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data providers in clinical study settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define, set up and ingest External Data Streams per protocol requirements.
• Plan external data stream setup activities to meet study start-up timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer requirements and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures for external data.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting data transfer and ingestion.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements and compliance.
• Coordinate with external data providers to align tsDTA terms.
• Translate clinical concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• Perform UAT on test data transfers to ensure alignment with data specs.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms for external data streams into the data repository (CDR).
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve issues.
