Job summary

IQVIA in South Africa seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data for remote/homebased work. You will define, set up and ingest External Data Streams for clinical trials, including data from central labs, ECG, imaging, biomarker and genomics sources, and other digital data collection technologies.

You will execute deliverables for standardized external data streams, coordinate with data stakeholders to define data transfer, mapping and structure, and develop trial-specific data transfer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, ECG, etc.
• Experience working with external data providers in clinical studies.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and plan data set-up activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer, ingestion, and structure of data streams.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting study requirements and data transfer methods.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet the approved requirements.
• Liaise with external data providers to align and agree tsDTA.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance.
• UAT of test data transfers for data specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the data repository (CDR).
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve transfer issues.
