Placements24 is seeking a visionary Director of Esports Operations & Strategy for a fully remote leadership role. You will build and lead high-performing teams, define the esports vision, and drive growth across global leagues, player development, and strategic partnerships.

You will manage budgets, negotiate with publishers and sponsors, and align operations with business goals in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years in esports management, operations, or a related field with proven leadership.
• Deep understanding of various esports titles, game mechanics, competitive landscapes, and the overall esports ecosystem.
• Proven track record of building successful esports teams and managing competitive operations.
• Strong strategic thinking, business development, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with budget management and financial planning.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fully remote work environment.
• Passion for gaming and a commitment to the integrity and growth of esports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overarching strategy for the organization's esports division, aligning with company goals.
• Oversee the recruitment, management, and development of professional esports players and coaching staff.
• Manage team participation in major esports leagues, tournaments, and events globally.
• Establish and maintain relationships with game publishers, platform providers, sponsors, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Develop and implement player support programs focused on performance, well-being, and career longevity.
• Oversee operational aspects, including team travel, logistics, equipment, and performance analytics.
• Identify and evaluate emerging talent and potential new game titles for competitive focus.
• Manage the esports budget, ensuring financial discipline and return on investment.
• Represent the organization in industry forums and contribute to the growth of the esports community.
