Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an English Audio Transcription Specialist to convert spoken English into accurate, well-formatted text for AI training. The role is fully remote, with an hourly contract and 10–40 hours per week, welcoming candidates with excellent listening skills and strong attention to detail.

No prior transcription experience is required, and you will work independently on a flexible schedule from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English with superb listening comprehension.
• Strong written English: grammar, spelling, punctuation.
• Detail-oriented with a methodical work approach.
• Able to follow structured guidelines and work asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Listen to English audio and produce precise verbatim transcriptions.
• Capture natural speech, filler words, and speaker changes when required.
• Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and spelling per guidelines.
• Identify unclear or inaudible segments and flag them.
• Handle diverse audio types: conversations, interviews, lectures, podcasts, customer interactions.
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and style adherence.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
