Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Data Analyst to join a forward-thinking energy sector team in South Africa. This fully remote role allows work from anywhere within the country while driving market intelligence and operational analysis.

You will collect, clean, and model data, develop dashboards with Tableau or Power BI, and build predictive insights on energy prices, demand, and supply. Strong statistics, Python/R, and SQL are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or related experience.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• 4+ years as a Data Analyst in energy or oil/gas is preferred.
• Strong SQL and data extraction skills.
• Experience with Tableau/Power BI or QlikView.
• Advanced stats, Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.

Responsabilités

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Analyze energy markets, trends, and performance indicators.
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and strategy teams.
• Build predictive models for prices, demand, and supply.
• Identify KPIs and monitor business objectives.
• Contribute to data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Automate data collection and reporting where possible.
• Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated on energy market trends and methodologies.
