Placements24 is seeking an expert Remote Employment Law Specialist to join a remote, geographically dispersed legal team serving Mossel Bay and surrounding areas. You will provide specialist advice on all aspects of employment law and ensure compliance with SA labour legislation.

Ideal candidates are admitted Attorneys with 5+ years of experience, strong dispute resolution skills, and the ability to train HR and management on best practices.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with a specialization in Employment Law and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Deep understanding of South African labour legislation and case law.
• Proven experience in advising on complex employment issues and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for remote client interaction.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated commitment to staying current with employment law developments.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on employment contracts, policies, and disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Advise on and manage employee grievances, CCMA disputes, and other labour relations matters.
• Conduct legal training for HR personnel and management on employment law best practices.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and industry standards.
• Assist with legal aspects of retrenchments, restructuring, and workplace investigations.
