Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Electrical Engineer to contribute to offshore projects. This role is fully remote, offering flexibility while delivering electrical design, engineering and technical support for offshore platforms.

You will develop schematics, perform load calculations, select equipment and ensure compliance with ATEX/IECEx and marine standards, while collaborating with international teams and stakeholders from a home office.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering as a minimum.
• 8+ years of offshore or marine electrical experience.
• Deep knowledge of hazardous area classifications and equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools.
• Experience with project management methodologies and virtual collaboration.
• Solid understanding of international marine/offshore regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for offshore platforms, substations or wind turbines.
• Develop electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and equipment specs.
• Ensure designs comply with marine, offshore and hazardous area standards (ATEX/IECEx).
• Perform load analysis and power system calculations for offshore installations.
• Select and procure electrical equipment suitable for harsh marine environments.
• Provide remote technical support during construction, commissioning and operation.

About the Role
