Placements24 is seeking a Remote Early Childhood Development Coach to support ECD practitioners, caregivers and center managers across South Africa. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel for in-person workshops to strengthen community engagement.

You will deliver virtual coaching, develop online training modules, and provide technical guidance on curriculum implementation and classroom practices, empowering professionals to enhance early learning quality from anywhere in the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ECD sector with training, coaching or facilitation.
• Proven experience delivering remote training and support using digital platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of child development theories, learning frameworks, and SA ECD policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual coaching and mentoring sessions to ECD practitioners and caregivers.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing early childhood development outcomes across South Africa, is seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Early Childhood Development Coach. This fully remote position will involve providing virtual coaching, training, and support to ECD practitioners, caregivers, and center managers in underserved communities. Your role will be to empower these professionals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver high-quality early learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of ECD principles, effective adult learning strategies, and proficiency in utilizing digital platforms for remote engagement. You will travel occasionally to facilitate in-person workshops when necessary, but the core of the role is remote. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual coaching and mentoring sessions to ECD practitioners and caregivers on best practices in early childhood development.

Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD), Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the ECD sector, with demonstrable experience in training, coaching, or facilitation.
• Proven experience in delivering training and support remotely using digital platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of child development theories, learning frameworks, and South African ECD policies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Proficiency in adult learning principles and coaching methodologies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a remote caseload.
• Ability to work independently, with initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with various digital communication and learning tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, LMS platforms).
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel within South Africa.
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely in South Africa.
