Placements24 is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join a remote-first data team. You will leverage statistical analysis, ML, and data visualization to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and support strategic decision-making.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business stakeholders, experimentation with A/B tests, and deployment of models into production environments, all within a fully remote setting that supports continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R and libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with SQL and working with large-scale datasets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, effective in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models for prediction, classification, and clustering.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate product features and business strategies.
• Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science models into production systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
