Placements24 is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join their remote cheminformatics team. You will leverage advanced machine learning techniques to drive drug discovery, analyze large chemical datasets, and build predictive models for toxicology and property prediction.

Collaborate with chemists and biologists, design data pipelines, and create visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. This role offers fully remote work with flexible hours and opportunities to work on

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Proven ML experience on complex datasets.
• Strong programming in Python or R with ML libraries.
• Experience with chemical structures/databases (SMILES, SDF).
• Experience with molecular descriptors and QSAR modeling.
• Excellent remote teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models for predictive toxicology, property prediction, and virtual screening.
• Analyze large-scale chemical/biological datasets to identify trends and patterns.
• Design and build data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with chemists and biologists to translate goals into data science solutions.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Stay current with advances in data science, ML, and cheminformatics.
