Placements24 is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead a global Security Operations Center. You will direct threat detection, analysis, and incident response while building high-performing security teams in a fully remote setting.

The role requires 7+ years in cybersecurity with at least 3 in management, strong knowledge of SIEM/EDR/IDS, and experience with incident response and regulatory considerations relevant to energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly valued.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar security function.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident response methodologies, and threat intelligence gathering.
• Experience with SIEM tools, log analysis, and forensic investigation techniques.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic security operations plans.
• Experience with regulatory compliance relevant to the energy sector is a plus.

• Manage the incident response process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
• Develop and deliver regular threat landscape briefings and security awareness training.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SOC team and operations.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other business units to integrate security controls and incident response capabilities.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned to improve security posture.
• Manage relationships with third-party security service providers and vendors.
• Stay current with evolving cyber threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies.
