Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Legal Advisor to join its fully distributed legal team in South Africa. You will provide strategic guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and contract management from a remote setting.

The role requires a SA-admitted attorney/advocate with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa with at least 7 years post-qualification experience.
• Expertise in corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficient with virtual collaboration tools and legal tech platforms.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and professional integrity.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate and commercial issues.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, SLAs, and partnership documents.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies; identify compliance gaps.
• Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement remote-first legal policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and analyze emerging trends and impacts.
