Job summary

Lyceum College invites applications for Content Reviewers to support Bachelor of Education (BEd) modules in a distance learning environment. The role focuses on reviewing and maintaining high-quality learning materials and assessments that meet South African higher education standards.

You will collaborate with Programme Coordinators, Subject Matter Experts, Editors, and the QA Office to ensure content is current, academically rigorous, and suitable for distance and blended learning.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in the relevant discipline.
• Excellent academic writing, curriculum review, and instructional design skills.
• Sound understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices within higher education.
• Knowledge of South African higher education policies, teaching and learning practices, and curriculum frameworks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to academic quality.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication, planning, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review comprehensive study guides, learning materials, and assessment activities in accordance with approved module outlines and institutional templates.
• Evaluate learning content to ensure alignment with programme outcomes, curriculum requirements, institutional standards, and NQF expectations.
• Review formative and summative assessments to ensure they are valid, reliable, and academically rigorous.
• Ensure learning materials are current, academically sound, and incorporate relevant research and best practices.
• Evaluate content for suitability in distance and blended learning environments.
• Ensure language accuracy, academic integrity, instructional quality, and consistency throughout all learning materials.
• Collaborate with Programme Coordinators, Subject Matter Experts, Editors, and the Quality Assurance Office throughout the review process.
• Provide clear academic feedback and recommendations for revisions and updates to learning materials.
• Ensure compliance with institutional quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Meet all review milestones and submission deadlines.
